At H1 Healthcare Group, the safety and well-being of our employees is always our top priority, and we are always looking for ways to ensure this safety.
Today we want to bring the Hollie Guard Personal Safety App to your attention in an attempt to increase safety for all our candidates.
Hollie Guard is an incredible safety alert app that was created to protect people like Hollie Gazzard, who was murdered by her ex-partner in 2014.
The main features of the app are as follows:
It allows a designated user / mobile number to track your progress on a map, if you are walking alone or at night for example.
If you feel unsafe, all you need to do is shake your phone and your emergency contacts are automatically notified of the emergency and your location, plus your phone starts to record audio and visual of your surroundings.
Shake the phone again and your phone starts producing a high-pitch alarm and starts a flashing light to attract help.
This app is free to download with optional payment methods, however, all features are available with the free plan! Your account is easy to set up and use - the app can be downloaded from the website or from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
You can also read an independent review of an Edinburgh woman's experience with the app here who absolutely urges everyone to get the app. The app is also backed by several police constabularies around the country, such as the Derbyshire Police Constabulary - more information about this can be found here.
If anyone has any further suggestions or feedback for ways we can improve our services for you then you can book an informal 1-to-1 chat with our CEO, Sam Easen, here, or alternatively fill in our anonymous feedback form here.
